Falling on deaf ears

For the life of me, I don't understand the City Hall's insistence that the hillside project at Medan Damansara be allowed to go on.

The residents have urged the ACA to probe this scam, after a retaining wall collapsed on Wednesday evening during a downpour, followed by a landslip at 4am on Thursday due to soil erosion from the hill near the area.

One house was badly affected by the incident with cracks appearing on the walls and mud gushing through the kitchen door. As a result two families have been evacuated as a precautionary measure. Trouble is our pleas have fallen on deaf ears! Now study this picture.

Would you allow your kids to play near this area? Check out the Star's revelation here and also New Straits Times' here
